My 04 Excursion has the hated 6.0L diesel, but the previous owner changed the coolant, properly flushed the system, deleted the EGR, and replaced the oil cooler, so other than studding it, and changing head gaskets, it has been bullet proofed.
I have a 40 HP FICM tune (not a tuner), I have added a blue spring mod which increases the fuel pressure, and also saves injectors from pre-mature failure. I still run the stock exhaust, but have a K&N drop in filter.
