We've got an ancient flat panel TV (LCD, not LED). WHen you walk past it, you can feel the heat radiating off of it, presumably from the bulbs that it uses for back-light.

I'd like to have something more modern (energy efficient) with a better picture. A little bigger wouldn't be bad either. I'd really go for 60", but these days it seems to be all 55 or 65. I was going to go 55, but I think we've decided to go 65.

The TCL series 6 is NOT available right now in 55", but it is available in 65". The Hisense H9F actually rates a little higher in some ways, but I think that's mostly like comparing Canon/Nikon, Mustang/Camaro, etc.... The Hisense H9G is also not currently available. The TCL is a couple hundred bucks cheaper (as well as being available), so I will probably go with that.

I'm also going to get a sound bar, and probably a firewall.
