We seem to have a different carrier all the time. Sometimes in a US mail vehicle, often a private contractor in a regular car. Non have been very good. They often drive past our house and ignore the flag I have up for them to pick up mail. We go for several days with no mail, and then a bunch of junk mail stuffed in the box.
The box is on the street, so all they have to do is open the box from the vehicle. My old house was in a neighborhood built just afrer WW2. The box was on the porch, so they had to walk the route.
My old doberman was a lover of people but hated the mailman and cats.
