Hi Pelican Forum,
Trying to decide what to do about my emblem. Previously my new to me 1980 911sc Targa was equipped with a turbocharged engine, fast forward 20 years and that engine is long gone, currently have a 3.2 in there, but the turbo emblem was still on the car when purchased. Not wanting to be a phony I want to replace it with a proper 911SC emblem that I just received from Pelican. This morning I took the Turbo badge that used two only holes which has left minor damage on the surrounding paint. Now we come to my issue.
I have a new 911sc badge with 4 nubs that obviously wont to go into the car as is. What is my best option for getting this badge on the car? My initial thought was to shave off the 911sc nubs and use a paint safe adhesive to place the 911sc badge and also cover up the holes left by the stupid turbo badge but I want to make sure I go down the right road. I have attached pictures. Any advice would be great!
