Got my sweeper back this afternoon. The beater bar head was clogged up an someone kept trying to use it until the belt that runs the beater bar burnt up. Costed me a whole $22 dollars American. So not only did the maid clog it up by not raking up the hair first (as instructed) she kept trying to run it until she burnt up the belt and then told me it was broken I needed to get a new one.

I have both a hair rake and one of those dust busters on a stick to pick up the dog hair before vacuuming. Use one of them so can trash the hair and not fill exspensive vacuum cleaner bags with dog hair. Depends on how much whether it needs raking or dust bustering. The maid that worked here before my mom died, myself, or my SIL's daughter had not trouble doing it right.
