I haven't used my kitcar to commute in more than on a few nice days. Aircon not needed in a totally open car.
I certainly have driven it in the rain, 200 miles in heavy rain at that, in order to get home - over 40 mph that rain doesn't come in at all, but stuck in traffic is a different matter. I have completed in it in snow, one April Harewood hillclimb, a burst of snow blew in down the valley.
In all seriousness I was saying that modern production sportscars have become fat due to safety and luxury reasons and as a result have lost the nimbleness and rawness of a true sportscar.
