Not familiar with the newer V70, but I sure loved my 850 turbo wagon. "Helga" the Hellfire Wagon! Loved that car. Smoke at idle can be alot of things, but one to always check is the PCV/flame trap. Had to do that on Helga. Kind of a pain because the intake manifold had to come off to do it. But...I wrote a dude a check instead of me doing it - LOL!
You know what I would really like? A manual transmission C30. Love 'em!
