The nose was designed for the 951. All the parts are from A.I.R. The bumper is the 951 conversion. In order to use the vented header panel I swapped the complete N/A headlight assembly for a 951 assembly(I had a completely destroyed headlight bucket anyways).
Never thought so much conversation would come up about my Conquest
Mitsubishi Starion was manufactured between 83-89, as Mitsu's 4cyl RWD Turbocharged sport luxury car. It's got a 2.6l with balance shafts, it's said that Porsche licensed the use of these from Mitsu.
The car was marketed under Mitsu, Dodge, Plymouth and finally Chrysler until it was ended in '89. In '90 the car was replaced with an all new body style, and under the DSM merger. When the new car hit the sales floors in Japan it was marketed as the Starion GTO, when that same car hit the shores or America it's name changed to the 3000GT. The ties to the Conquest and Starion were broken, and the old cars just started to disappear and were forgotten about.
I love driving it just due to the fact that it's amazing how many people have never even seen one, much less have heard of one.
