WEVO initially tried the gate field in the shifter (similar to a typical Ferrari gated shifter base) and decided it wasn’t entirely successful. So they moved it to inside the transmission
G50 has an internal gate similar to what WEVO devised for the 915. Take a look at the PET parts diagrams for the G50 and you can see it very clearly
