At just about everything I've done, I've tried to be the worst house in a good neighborhood.

It's easy to fall into the trap of believing that you are better at something than you actually are. Wisdom is recognizing that there is true genius and real elite people in this world and the odds of you being one of them is incredibly small.

So, I'd rather surround myself with people that are much better than me - at whatever - and in all aspects of life (which very often isn't hard for me to find).

As long as I can reasonably hang in the good neighborhood, I'm doing a lot better than the schlub dominating the rec league.
