Love Diesels.

After three diesels (2 VW TDIs, 1 X5d (now my son's)) I had purchased a Panamera Turbo. At best 14 MPG I never meshed with the car. I began hunting a new diesel, I did look at used but again did not find the one for me.

If you were open to used SUVs; $70,000 list 2017 & 2018 BMW X5ds are readily available off lease with under 30,000 miles for $35,000 to $40,000. The 2015 & 2016 Cayennes were a bit cheaper but w/ less equipment and predominately higher miles.

I decided to buy new from very limited offerings and purchased a 2020 Range Rover Diesel ($110ish out the door). So far so good I do need to get the mpg up. My X5d averaged 30 mpg over 100,000 miles. This MPG could be a challenge as this is a bigger vehicle and I drive it in the city much more than the X5.
