The C2 is a narrow body car with rear wheel drive only. The C4 is a wide body, all wheel drive car and is basically considered a "turbo-look" model without the turbo engine. Some components are inter-changeable but the rear body of the car, the brakes and the suspension are the real difference between the two. Apart from the turbo, the C4 body wise has a lot in common with the GT3 as well. I suggest if you are not a subscriber, i would start getting "Excellence" magazine. It is a great source of info regarding the Porsche lineup and they just released their 2020 Porsche Buyers Guide which answer some of your questions. I hope that helps and good luck.
