You lose. I text w thumbs and it’s no issue. And I’m old. Practice makes perfect. I remember texting w a friend back in the early 2000s, when I was still on a Blackberry and said friend was a slightly younger guy raised on video games. He drove a new at the time 997 and he would respond to texts while driving so fast that it was seriously instantaneous. I once texted him, “HTF are you doing this?” The reply came instantly, “because I can.”
FWIW, I avoid texts while driving unless I’m on an empty highway and then keep them brief.
