Yea - I’m sure the weld is plenty strong although because of where it is I’d be concerned about it letting go. He creates a beautiful end product but I wondered why he chopped it down. Seemed unnecessary to me.

Gorgeous piece. I wouldn’t feel right ever using it to hit a nail though!
