The 2020 is very nice, or so I have heard. We did not get the TRD version since the only dirt this thing will see is our farm road.
I think that's Toyota's way of trying to safe fuel to satisfy the MPG regulations. The transmission shifts in a hurry to the highest gear. I can be driving down the road doing 45 mph, but by about 40, its shifted itself in 5 th gear. It doesn't like to down shift much unless the pedal is floored. My indy mechanic re-flash the transmission for me about 6 months ago. Its a factory re-flash but that made a day and night different feel to the way the truck drove. I bet Toyota has this set up all along, and that's way the way it should feel, much snappier.
