So this happened today and is pretty funny and a commentary on our times as well.
The brakes on my little Audi were feeling spongy lately and I was looking for somewhere to get the brake fluid replaced on the fly, instead of killing a day with a dealer.
I was also looking for a place to get a massage, as our usual spot had been closed since March , and both my wife and I were missing it.
Now,I’m driving along this morning and there’s a Pep Boys with some open bays, and a few doors down is a big bright sign. Accupresure.
Bingo !
Might even be a chiropractor.
The service nan says to give him an hour, and that’s exactly what I have in mind.
So, I head over to the friendly door, and they require a mask to enter, and I’m happy to see that.

Now, I’m greeted by a 30 ish attendant and an 80 ish “manager” and it’s pretty evident after a few moments that I’m not in Hand and Stone anymore.
The specialty here is Korean.
It’s 10:45 am, and I know how the Robert Kraft movie ends.

I’m about to be ushered into a side room, and I stop and ask , how much is the massage ?
She gets kind of coy, and there is no doubt it is very ...negotiable.
So I state that I just want an hour massage. That’s it.
She says $65 , I say Ok and we go into a bright airy room, and I’m told to undress, lie face down on the massage table, and _then_ I can remove my mask.

I’m getting a great back massage, and she’s working out a few months of kinks and knots.

So, I’ve been face down and nude the entire time, and I finally sneak a peek behind me, just out of curiosity.
After a quick gaze back my natural urges overtake me, and I can’t help myself. I ask her ...can you take off your mask ?
Now, I have no doubt that she was willing to take off everything in a blink, but she told me NO
It wasn’t even an option.
She went on to explain that she can remove it on the street or in the foyer , but not in this room. Not going to happen ��
I had a great massage and gave a nice tip and I definitely entertained myself.
The new brake fluid seems to help, Pep Boys did not drop it off the lift, so it all in all , it was a really happy ending.
