I have not seen a single study on going to Venus. Since it is a smaller orbit than the earth it is likely easier to get to and from. The big issue with Mars is we always leave when the trip there will be short as possible, but by then Mars is on the other side of the sun from Earth. They have to stay on Mars a while waiting for the planets to be on the same side of the sun. The distances are simply vast.
