Seriously, how much does it cost to rebuild a 930 motor? $20K? If Porsche can offer a freshly built one for $18-24K as guesstimated above, I can see a lot of people lining up for them. Way more than the 100 NOS case blanks they have lying around.
Here's a pic from Rennsport 2018 of a factory repopped 962 engine for historic car racing. Anyone hazard a guesstimate for the crankcase? Not sure if heads are part of the new batch.



At the time, I thought 911 versions couldn't be too far away to support the hundreds of still active historic 911 track cars.
