GT40 had a flat plane crank??? The only flat plane crank Ford makes now is the new Voodoo V8 GT 350 Mustang-

I think the LS engine has the same firing order as the traditional Ford V8 engines-

But the Ford/Cosworth DFV had a flat plane crank. 1967, and it was of course for the F1 cars.
Ford eventually bought Cosworth in 1998-
There are quite a few DFV engines fitted to vintage Lolas these days, wonderful sound, many videos on youtube. Someone could put one on a GT40 and I'd love to see it

DFV had gear driven Dual overhead cams, 4 Valves, and of course flat plane crank.
