it's all good

I truly feel bad about just saying no I'm not going to help people any more.
when I was messaged about this 999 code it was on a Tuesday and I already had something like 5 messages about color codes in two days.
one message was my COA states my code is 027 the color tag on the car states 027 but I pulled out the carpet because I'm replacing it and it looks orange under the carpet. I don't think the car was ever repainted and I'm not looking to repaint it. what's the real color of my car could it have been tagged wrong?
no vin number no year no model no other info at all.
would you reply back ? most all the color questions are kind of like this.
I didn't mind helping the people with real color code questions like I have code XXX but the paint store can't find the color in there system or I have a 999 code and I need to know the real paint code for my car because I'm repainting it.
it's not uncommon for Porsche to say have a ivory color that they only used for one year and gave it a color code then a few years later they used the same color tint for tint but changed the color code of the color. over time the paint CO's would drop the one year uses color code from there color info and only have the 2nd code listed making the one year color all most imposable to find. I do have the cross reference for the colors like this . the down side is it could take a few hours to do the cross reference to get the up to date code for the color.
so the question is what would you do if you were in my shoes?
how would I be able to help the few people that really need the help and avoid the 1000's of people just asking because ?
