I finally took my Porsche 2.8 out for its first drive since rebuilding it for 20 min Break inToday. History of motor.. Its a 2.8 with 9:5.1 J&E pistons, Mod S cams, large ported heads 40/35, 46mm PMOs, M&K headers, 997 GT3 muffler, aluminum flywheel and Sachs aluminum Pressure Plate. Break in oil used Valvoline VR-1 20/50. I would like to give Icarp(Ian) a big round of applause for all his help with install of clutch and Pressure plate measurements to walking me threw setting up my ignition timing, Innovate AFR settings on my PMOs, recommendations to add a MOCAL thermostat to have the correct oil temp. He helped me with proper procedure on how to drive my car during break in. The YoYo drive for 20 min. Car ran great. Very quick and fast reving.
Anyone who needs help or questions on a issue with their car. Ian will be more then glad to help you. He's very passionate and know what he's talking about. Very easy to talk to and patient. So thanks again Ian for all your help. I will keep you posted on Dyno results from Pinks when I have it done.
