That's oil painting. I've had a blank spot at the apex of my porch roof for awhile as I pondered how to fill it.
It's my habit to take my morning tea at the pond and one morning saw this;
So I thought that'd make a nice mural-ish subject. Now I'm no artist but I figured I could claim an abstract target should it not turn out too well (Yo Baz be kind
).
I took a look on the net to find some similar image so I could use it's color scheme as a guide. Then I got some 3/8" plywood, cut it to shape and primed it;
Then started with the mountain ridge and went on from there;
As with it's creator it looks better from a distance but like the Dude's rug I think it ties everything together.
