I had a 1966 Sportomatic that was sent to the US as a demonstrator. It was at Pray Moters in Connecticut. I bought it from a wholesaler.
They must have tweaked that engine because it would eat platinum plugs in 1000 miles. I drove it as a daily driver summer and winter from 1970 when I bought it getting out of the Army to 1977. I put it in a garage until 1986 when I was going to restore it. By that time the frame was rusted to crap and I sold it. Dont know where it went. Bought a new 1986 Targs that I still have today.
