Your power calculations seem about right.
There is more to think about than just power. Be sure you have a color temp you can live with. We replaced some halogens with LEDs with color temps of about 4k and it looks like a movie set when we turned them on - as in it looks like daylight. We hate it.
I just replaced some halogens nearer the house with LEDs. This time we went with cooler, 2700 - 3000k color temps and it is much more comfortable.
