And, no, I don't think I ever claimed this "is an invention of (sic) my generation". You clearly missed my King Solomon reference - one of his most famous quotes was "there is nothing new under the sun". And you can bet yer ass that many who were rockin' out in
his courtyard were wearing masks, face paint, and all of that. And hopefully little else since, you know - he was a king, and "it's good to be king" and all of that...
They might even have sounded like chainsaws with cracked expansion chambers, before they even knew what chainsaws were...
