My 914-6 Vintage Race Car for Sale

I got a phone call a while back and a fellow was asking about the vintage race car I used with HSR West, VARA and PCA? It seems the Volkyland museum in Puerto Rico is selling a lot of cars including a nearly stock 914-4 and my ex-vintage race car which on the selling website is labeled a "Beast"! If you do a search in Yahoo for Volkyland the sale will come up. Seems the asking price is $30,000 and is a tad more than I sold it for. If anyone is interested be sure to get ALL THE EXTRAS, I.E.
- Two 901 gear boxes with limited slip, MSX and other is KQV.
- Cooling shirt and associated system.
- Camera/recorder system.
- Race radios, one for the car and one for a crew person. The car set will need wiring to a helmet as I kept mine.
- Two sets of Centerline wheels with Goodyear cantilever slicks.
- Set of 4 Goodyear cantilever rain tires.
- Dry sump oil system has large front mounted cooler and uses a Porsche Turbo oil filter along with a cooling system for the transmissions. The pump and cooler are in the rear trunk. Engine cooler and fuel cell are in front trunk.
- It does not use a key to start but a switch/push button inside and a kill switch/push button at engine bay.
- The roll cage is an AutoPower and was the model spelled out by HSR West when I set up the car. Has
- I think there is still the HSR West race log book in the dash.
- The engine 2.8L and both transmissions were built by Mark Kinninger at Black Forest San Diego. He also rebuilt the carbs the last time and mounted headers by "George".
- It has a set of the famous 4 bolt adapters to allow use of M calipers in front and SC rotors and has a 21mm master cylinder.

So if anyone wants a race car that has raced and won in CA, NV, AZ and Baja CA make sure to ask for ALL the extras! In a 30 minute race at full throttle it uses 6 to 7 gallons of VP 100 octane gas, NO pump gas!

Hummmmm I just saw on a website called "OldBug" everything had been sold? Hope the new owner will be happy?
