There are a lot of books and YouTube videos that explain the long rifle techniques and nomenclature. My favorite books and videos are from Ryan Cleckner. He explains Milliradians and windage in very simple terms. I am teaching my son and niece how to properly shoot. I am humbled by your guys' wealth of knowledge and experience. I am always learning.
