Hollywood pisses hundreds of millions of dollars away every year. The vast majority of the world will never see the final product, and they'd probably rather see the money invested in third world food production!
A 25yr old, £7000 Porsche being destroyed to increase viewing numbers isn't exactly the end of the world (even though we're all Porschephiles).
