I do think it was an engine fire but I don’t think it was inside when it burned. The fire is most intense in the engine compartment, indicating the place of origin. The interior is burned too, but only from the inside and not the roof. If it did burn inside a wood framed structure it should have started a secondary fire that burned the outside of the car too. I don’t see any signs of flame on the roof of the car. Even if it burned inside a masonry garage where there was no secondary fire I’d expect to see some smoke or fire damage on the exterior and more uniform damage to the front.
But a car fire in a garage that starts a structure fire, that’s a claim that you can really sink your teeth into.
