Most often I think chains are used in conjunction with winter tires. And historically, winter tire sizes are slightly narrower than summer use tires.
Also, need to check local ordinances re: use of chains. Sometimes they are not legal. There may also be a speed limit.. If you are only going 35mph or less, for instance, there might not be enough "buldge" that the chains would hit your suspension. if you try and cruise at 60, well, then my guess is they would rub. What size wheel/tire combo are you running? Any changes to ride height/alignment/camber?
