I've been to Bonneville two times as a wrench/pit crew/engineering consultant/electrician.
In addition to the high profile/high dollar cars there are hundreds of cars put together on limited budgets. What is interesting to me is the inventiveness applied to staying within the rules for the various classes. E.g. Motorcycle Sidecar Streamliner.
