Don't know what kind of floor tile allowed you to slip, at least not easily. Now put a blazed wall tile on the floor and you have a skating rink. As mentioned, smaller tiles offer a better grip.
But I've seen carpeted baths and using the correct carpet it's not bad. Not for me, but not bad. What else is there? Sheet vinyl? The most practical but not always that great looking.
And then there's engineered flooring. I have
Marmoleum in my kitchen and it's easy maintenance. Not so good for spills, but there are waterproof versions. What I don't like about that is when moisture gets by the face, mold can grow under the flooring.
