i cringe every time i get the news from amazon the seller is using FE. stuff will sit at the hub for a week with it saying "out on truck for delivery", only to say at day's end "no pending delivery date at this time". ive gotten to the point i will call vendors prior to making an online purchase if i can to find out who they ship with. if it's FE i say thanks but no thanks. if they confirm it will be any other shipper i will proceed with the online purchase.

As of late Amazon is going that way and is a close 2nd in my book. But I take the virus situation in mind before I get too upset. If it doesn't get here within 2 days of what they said even after emailing about a delay, I cancel the order. Not waiting for stuff I can get on eBay same day shipping 90% of the time. Usually eBay sellers use USPS unless it's some big ass package. In that case USPS piles on the fees for oversize.
Had a elative that was sending stuff to me 3 or so times a year, always USPS because they were close or would pick up for free. I was amazed at the prices for a 2' x 2' x 2' box of average weight back a few years ago — Like over 50 bucks every one.
Some of the stuff wasn't worth that.
