With something like this, I always try the least intrusive, and destructive methods first, ramping up the violence as I go .
I am in the middle of doing timing chains on a Subaru 3.0 6 cyl. Fk.. at least 40 4 mm screws, each and every one of them wanted to round . Broke every 4mm, and t 27, and t 30 driver I had ,most of them snap on.
Patience, heat, and some delicate chiseling , and I got the last one removed at the end of the day friday .
4 hour flat rate job. I had 4 hours in just getting the cover bolts off .
