151 lbs is not a world record for paddlefish size, this is the largest caught with a rod and reel. Those things get WAY bigger than that and they have been around for 125 million years. They exist in China and the US. We had a similar size paddlefish hanging on our wall from when I was 10 until dad remodelled after my mom passed 12 years ago (24 years).

Dad caught ours in the Missouri River in Montana. It is a snag fishery where you use a heavy surf casting rod, Dacron line, and big treble hooks cast from shore. When you snag one, you run down the bank trying to reel it in and need a helper running ahead pulling branches out of your way as the bank caves in...

These are living dinosaurs.
