Thanks everyone for the input. The link sugarwood posted led to a very similar one that sold for $65,000 on Bring a Trailer in November of 2019. It had some panels repainted and mine is all original paint and my windshield doesn’t have a chip in it, but otherwise almost identical. Mine also has the engine resealed with new head studs.

I have totaled up everything and I haven’t gotten upside down yet, but I do have lots of enjoyable shop hours “invested”.

Since I started this thread, I have been able to put on a few miles and get better acquainted with this 911. I drove to work today and driving it was so enjoyable I came home the long way. When I pulled up to the garage, I didn’t want to shut off that sweet sounding engine, so left it running and checked the oil level, even though I checked it 20 miles ago.

I don’t think the math matters anymore...
