Shaun - sorry to hear & hope it helps!

Ko-Ken is Japanese and makes nothing but sockets and ratchets, etc. - no wrenches. It is IIRC family run and the founder went to the US and worked for either Henry Ford or a Ford dealership. As usual when the Japanese get into something, they really work it hard (where is rusnack BTW?). Nepros makes even nicer ratchets, and another one to keep an eye on is the Zeal line. I bet Snappy and Hazet will do fine but the two Japanese co.s seem to be far above the protos and gedores of the world.

The socket above is a nut-grip type. I did photo stacking to keep it all in focus. The ring around the circumference is a spring that holds those little ball bearings in, and holds them tight to the nut. Ingenious. Effective. Well worth the not very expensive cost.
