Thanks for all the replies. I haven't driven it much, about 30 miles, and when I come to a stop smoke is coming out from under the car and it is very blue. Same as out of the exhaust. I'll drive it some more before I tear into it.
I plan on doing a compression and leak down test. I replaced lower valve cover gaskets and oil level is correct at idle. I've owned several Porsches before and do restorations on old Mustangs so have some mechanical knowledge.
Not familiar with valve caps. How would I know if they are bad? Are they in upper valve covers?
I'll check back.
