Yep, lots of extension cords needed for that setup. My neighbor did the expensive but right way with a whole house generator. 8 grand is too much for me with the electricity as reliable as it is.
I just stopped for gas at my usual spot. As I was pumping I heard a concrete truck making a lot of noise so I looked up and it was his brakes. I noticed a black pickup going west suddenly turn south and pull in next to me at the gas pump. He said nice El Camino, so we chatted about it and how his son just found a 84 model. About the time the tank was full, he pulled out and continued on west. I guess he stopped just to chat about my car. He has excellent taste.
