Guys,
Thank you so much for the thoughts and kind words. You guys brought me to tears with your replies.
I don't post as much as I always have ( don't have a computer in front of me at work anymore like i used to,...) but always considered this place almost like a second home with a great group of friends. Thank you for that.
I've lost pets before, old age and sickness, but this one is a tough one to handle. I guess because it was unexpected, with no chance of helping him to cure his illness, and not knowing when his final day will be.

You already know this but I will say it anyway - your focus right now and through his final breath should be 100% Syd's comfort.
I posted here in March when I had to take Billabong to the overnight emergency vet to be put asleep due to lymphoma. She was never in pain - and to this day as hard as it was to make that excruciating decision - I felt I did the right thing - and that brings me peace....as it will you.
You know how to reach me if I can be of any help. Much love to you and your buddy......Baz and Winkipop

Baz, thank you Brother. We still really haven't gotten over losing Toby. We fought so hard to help him and he was still a pup basically. It will be 9 yrs Nov 20th

Pat, I hadn't looked it it that way. Thank you for that insight. Really appreciate it, and will definitely take your advice.
Thank you again guys.
