Mike,
You need patience, perseverance, and the right parts. The rest will depend on your skill and experience. The early CIS fuel distributors are non-adjustable. The later models are more versatile because you can calibrate and adjust the flow rates of each FD port.
Below is an example of a fuel distributor that needs some TLC (tender loving care). The owner, another Pelicanparts member was selling his car and had a buyer who wanted a running car.
Shortly after sending the rebuilt FD to the owner, I got an email that the car was running and was SOLD. End of story. Been very busy the last few weeks testing and evaluating CIS components for fellow Pelicanparts members for FREE. A member from Wisconsin sent two (2) fuel distributors for evaluation:
These were out of calibration and simply needed some adjustments. No rebuilt needed and sent back to WI.
