Hope you get everything taken care of Milt. I had some hardware in my ankle that I should have had taken out. It turned into a staph infection years later after a few days of skiing.
They injected me with some gelatinous antibiotic that felt like I got kicked in the ass by a mule. A few days later after the infection subsided they removed the hardware.
Hang in there man, hope you find some relief and recovery.
