Nope, the reason they burned me at the stake on 914 World is because the car was one of a handful of 914's that ran IMSA. It was almost a great car. Garretson built the Walt Mass 914 that won IMSA, and the next year they built this car. Bob said it was a turd, didn't win, they chucked it after a year. Ironically it did find racing success later in SCCA, I think it took the checker at Mid-Ohio. But the IMSA history is what the 914 guys got so mad about. I offered to sell it before I cut it up, or trade it for a 914/6 conversion, this offer was open for a year, no takers. It was put up or shut up time, no one put up, so I got to cutting up.
