So should I part this car out?

All told, Old 914 monsters can't win anymore, vintage racing is all there is?, Further constricting the sales market for these cars.

So, I saw a 911T motor listed on ebay for 21k. Should I part out this car?

I really appreciate a place where we can discuss this stuff. I have been in the PCA for years. I have multiple friends that have cars like mine, and who have multiple 911's in their garages that they don't want to sell, who bought 914's and put big motors in them so they could race but not possibly damage their more valuable 911's.

In posting this thread, I have so many requests and interests in my 911's. I wish the racing enthusiasts were more like me, I'm older, I like to actually drive the car and feel the surface, and the response of the mechanical vehicle. The cars are old too. No power steering, stability control...... Yes a GT3 will win all day, it shifts for you, etc... My mother could drive them and win. However, there is nothing more raw than driving a 2000lb car with carbs, without computerized assist.

My mouth watered when I first saw this car. People stared at it as it was towed on the freeway in an open trailer. It was so fulfilling to arrive at the track and share various opinions on tires, and suspension set-ups for these superlight mid engine cars that have to have gumballs in order to drive. What fun.

Now, sell the motor to those restoring old 911's. Is that what I should do?
