It's factory, the other vertical part behind the seatbacks has a metal tab that slots into the red metal piece that you see in the middle of the pic. And there are two additional screws at the bottom to hold the lower vertical panel in place as well. In other words, you're looking at just the upper part of the two-piece parcel shelf assembly.
