My MIL got one of the calls claiming the call was her notice of service, and she was going to be arrested the next day at 1:30 PM if she did not call them back immediately and settle the issue. I told her to just relax and ignore it, it all all a scam. The cops don't call you a day before hand to say the will arrest you, they just show up with a warrant and haul you off. And she is as much a criminal as I am. Well she has had some moving violations in the last few years, but she paid them.
I had a similar call a few years back at work. The caller claimed he was with the IRS and they were coming tomorrow to arrest me unless I go buy Walgreen's gift cards. I laughed and told him he was full of 5hit and I am ready for him to come arrest me tomorrow. They never did show up.
