[QUOTE=blucille;11109172]I'm still thinking it's part of the alarm system....30 years ago, I worked at a shop that installed a lot of stuff like this.....with the alarm, you need the potentiometers to adjust motion sensor sensitivity, sometimes we would have to install a circuit to compensate for interior lights, or make certain lights on the car flash for periods of time (adjustable by pots) .....I suppose the one-touch window thing is possible, but those wires look fairly small and heading in the wrong direction to control the windows.....what about a delay for interior lights? I also used to interface alarm system to the power door locks....but those circuits shouldn't need potentiometers, all driven by 12v.

There are a lot of yellow wires and a four conductor zip-cord (trailer wiring?) back by the relay panel in the engine compartment.

I'd start by putting a test light or volt meter on the wires feeding into each blue box....if there is no power with key on and key off, I'd snip the wires and test all your lights, accessories and make sure the car starts and runs....

I worked at a dealer back then, Langan Porsche Audi in Schenectady ny. we had a guy that just installed alarm systems and other crap like armor paint protection and such, what a scam it was.
