Police, insurers and lawyers have been able to download data on motor vehicle accidents for at lest 20 years. They don’t need any new tech to do that. As of about 2000 pretty much any vehicle would show the condition of the car several seconds before an accident, including speed, braking, whether the cruise control was on, etc.

Credit scores are black voodoo magic. I have access to my FICO and Experian scores and they bounce around from Month to month at random, usually in lockstep with each other. I lose 40 points in a month frequently and gain it back a month or so later. Last month I dropped 60 points. I haven’t had a new account in years and my spending is within dollars of the same amount each month. All cards are on autopay at the end of the month and we never carry a balance. How and why it changes is a total mystery.
