I took one of my carry pieces apart today, cleaned and re lubed it due to this thread.
Have a Nightforce ATACR 1-8x24 that has a red dot, it can be used without as well, but I do have a schedule set to change it out periodically. It sits on a SCAR 17S that is a joy to use.
