My '82 engine is sweet too. It had be reconditioned shortly before I bought it as part of a crashed car purchase. The mechanic said it was balanced, original cams, and SSI's. It rev's very well and smooth as a Honda engine. Haha, I've red lined it in top gear and it certainly didn't feel like it was running out of steam.
